Depends on how far data you need. Most providers like Polygon, Twelve Data, Alpaca etc have good, inexpensive data but for only a few years (we obviously need intraday data). For real data that pros would use look at TickData. Excellent quality and can be affordable, as long as you are not trying to do it for many different stocks and focus on indices or FX
